PAW LODGE
Paw Lodge goes beyond daycare and boarding, providing personalized one-on-one attention that treats your pets as part of our family. Your dog's happiness and comfort are our top priorities. We offer dogs a fun alternative to staying home when you can’t be there, day or night-or both! We are located in an accessible, central area of Chatham-Kent at 9531 Brook Line, Dresden, ON. Google us to see our exact location!
Our goal is to add to your furry friend’s best life with fantastic social experiences, play, and most of all-LOVE. Adoptions, grooming, and formal training services are not available at Paw Lodge in order for all of our attention to go to client relationships and care. We may, from time to time, hold nail trim clinics to support paw wellness. We will also sport a small retail section offering fun items for your pet, friends, or even yourself!
Please know that when your family member is with us we will treat them like family too. We are generally a small operation that remains personal in your dog’s care. The smaller number of dogs we accept at one time is a way for us to keep our ratios of doggos to humans reasonable and comfortable for everyone. We don’t want anyone overwhelmed or to have so many at once that we can’t keep track of activities and wellness. We are interested in as much information about your pup that you would like to share so we can get to know them and accommodate them as much as possible and we do this through our client questionnaire and conversations. Although with both daycare and boarding, there can be an important socialization component, we also like to give each dog one to one time too, doing things they enjoy, so they can get to know us and maintain a positive relationship with all of us at Paw Lodge. This also helps us to recognize quickly if something seems “off” for your family member.
Relationships matter to us, yours and theirs! We are opening our home and property to you with a level of care and compassion that connects all of us and our wish is to provide the best possible collective experience ! That also means that although we do have set business hours we also recognize that things happen. Communication is key. We are here for you and never hesitate to reach out to us in the event of an emergency and we will do our best to accommodate you. We are here to help!
Who are we?
Paw Lodge was born from the shared passion of a mother-daughter duo. Until recently, we didn’t realize we both dreamed of running a doggy daycare and boarding facility. Once we discovered how deeply rooted this dream was for both of us, we decided to turn our passion into action! Our goal is to create something truly special—providing top-tier care, wellness, and fun for dogs (and us!!), while giving peace of mind to their pet parents.
After years of working as a teacher, and currently in my 15th year as an elementary principal, I’ve loved taking care of children and families. Now, I’m excited to extend that same level of care and dedication to dogs and their families. My daughter, with her background in public service and office management (and, of course, her love for dogs), brings additional expertise and heart to our business.
Currently, I have two dogs, Ivy and Remi, who enjoy the many perks of living with dog lovers. My daughter has three—Charlie, Maverick, and Daisy—and, until recently, they even outnumbered the humans in her home! We love learning about their unique personalities and how they interact with the world, and they never fail to make us giggle. They are a big part of our inspiration for Paw Lodge, as we strive to offer trusted, quality care.
A deeper inspiration for our dog care and wellness services comes from my late, yet, beloved Goldendoodle, Molly Mae. She taught me about the unbreakable bond between a pet and their parent, showing me that there are no limits to what that connection can achieve. Molly Mae’s journey—through illness, loss, and the difficult decision of letting go—also taught me invaluable lessons about responsible pet parenting, unconditional love, and healing. Most importantly, she showed me that it’s okay to bond again.
